Type: | Solar Hanger Bolt |
Definition: | Solar hanger bolts for mounting system is an efficient new roof solution, suitable for installation of trapezoidal/zinc/corrugated/sandwich metal roof profiles Although light in weight, it is made of high-quality stainless steel and can withstand wind and snow loads. Hanger Bolts are headless bolts used primarily in wood applications to add an external thread. One side has a self tapping lag thread for use in wood, while the other end has UNC threads to accept a standard nut. Ideal for applications that require a removable fixture or other fastenings into wood. |
Description: |
Hanger Bolts are headless bolts with lag or wood screw threads at one end while machine threads at the other. Headless hanger bolts or hanger screws are other names for these bolts. Hanger bolts are studs used to suspend objects from or attach items to wood. Like a typical stud, they are headless, double-ended bolts that have threads at each end-lag threads to screw into wood but, at the other end, machine screw threads to accept a nut or thread into an internally threaded (tapped) hole. |
Application: | Hanger bolts are mostly used for connecting wood to metal. Hanger bolts are headless bolts that feature one half with a lag screw thread and the other half with a machine screw threading and a blunt tip. They are typically used to hang materials from wooden structures. Moreover typical Hanger Bolt rule of thumb for screw-in-stud mountings is about 300 pounds per bolt to rip the mount straight out of the studs. Because this isn't much of a concern with your design either, whereas as the mount will hold the slate flush to the wall and so the amount of cantilever force is minimal. |
Others: | Hanger bolts are typically made from metals such as stainless steel, zinc-plated steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, and brass in a wide range of styles, including: U-bolts. |
